Legend Press – Great book launches for Winnie M Li and Clar Ni Chonghaile

Winnie M Li’s book Dark Chapter has joined four other titles (plus one wildcard entry) in the Guardian’s Not The Booker Prize shortlist. The book received the second most number of quotes (jointly with Man With A Seagull On His Head by Harriet Page).

The other nominations are:

Not Thomas by Sara Gethin (Honno Press)
Dark Chapter by Winnie M Li (Legend Press)
Man With a Seagull on His Head by Harriet Page (Bluemoose Books)
The Threat Level Remains Severe by Rowena Macdonald (Aardvark Bureau)
The Ludlow Ladies’ Society by Ann O’Loughlin (Black and White Publishing)

The next stage begins on 21st August and the best of luck to all the nominees!

Clar Ni Chonghaile’s second novel Rain Falls On Everyone had an amazing launch at  Lutyens & Rubinstein Bookshop, Kensington. The bookshop was packed with supporters who listened to Clar give a short speech about her journey writing the book and its inspiration, and then queued to get their brand-new copies signed. The book has already had a great response:
