The seventh annual Vancouver Art Book Fair is a multi-day festival of artists’ publishing that showcases dozens of local and international exhibitors who produce everything from books, magazines, zines and printed ephemera to digital, performative or other experimental forms of publication. Artists’ projects and reading rooms will activate the Michael O’Brian Exhibition Commons and Ron Burnett Library + Learning Commons at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Hourly talks and performances by artists from across Canada and the globe will take place in the Artists’ Book Room and the Reliance Theatre.
Free and open to the public, VABF is the longest-running international art book fair in Canada. In 2018 the event is anticipated to attract over 6,000 visitors from across the Greater Vancouver Area and beyond.
Publishers, artists, collectives, artist-run centres, institutions and art book distributors are welcome to apply to participate in the 2018 Vancouver Art Book Fair. Here you can find the form to fill.
