The Ramingo’s Porch – “Home is a Subjective Noun” a poem By James Dennis Casey IV

James Dennis Casey IV.jpg

Home is a Subjective Noun

wearing remains
of wasted days
losing myself
to the heart
of hearts
in bad

messy minds
held in a dream
down a lost highway
in Mississippi

an imitation sky
2000 miles
from home

indigo sunset
on fire
in the rain
on the ground

a moonbeam backdrop
howling at the wind
falling star
flyover salute

is where
a hat is hung

but home
can feel
like a noose

and not all
that wander
are lost
