How long have you been writing? I remember making up little books of drawings, poems, and cartoons as a child.

What projects of yours have been recently published? Recently, I’ve had pieces placed with Nerve Cowboy, Rat’s Ass Review, San Pedro River Review, Sheila-Na-Gig, and Perfume River Review.

What are you currently working on and what inspired this work? More poems. Life.

Where can we find your work? In the small press and on the web.

How do you react to rejections? I just move on.

How do you react when one of your submissions is accepted for publication? With a smile.

What is your best piece of advice on how to stay sane as a writer? Stay focused and work toward developing your voice. Rejection is all part of it.

What is your favorite book? Impossible to name.

Who is your favorite author? See above.

What makes you laugh? Interacting with good friends and family. Also, The Daily Show and Steven Colbert.

What makes you cry? The abuse of others.

What is your preferred drink while you write? Black coffee.

What is your favorite food? Anything cooked by my wife.
